About Us

We are a four doctor, long established practice looking after approximately 4,700 patients situated in central Dudley. We offer a wide variety of services in a friendly environment. This practice is dedicated to achieving and maintaining a high quality service, designed to meet the needs of its patients.

  • GDPR (GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION) – from 25th May 2018

25th May 2018 – new changes to data privacy to prevent any data breaches – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This also gives patients more control over their personal information and an individual’s right to know what we do with the information we hold.  Cross Street Surgery has the necessary measures and safeguards in place to protect all of our patient information and we are fully compliant with these new regulations. Below are some documents to provide patients with more information but if you wish to know any more please do not hesitate to contact the surgery and speak to the Practice Manager.

  • CQC INSPECTION – “TWO” RATINGS – GOOD 2014 AND 2016

The practice is now had two CQC inspections –  If you wish to read the report it can be found under ‘Reports’ in the ‘Policies and Documents’ menu on the left. – BOTH REPORTS SHOW REALLY GOOD RATINGS!

  • ON LINE FACILITIES

We offer online access for all patients – you can book appointments, order medication and view limited parts of your medical records.

STATEMENT OF INTENT FOR ONLINE SERVICES

  • EXTRA OUT OF HOURS APPOINTMENTS IN DUDLEY

In the Dudley area practices are working in partnership to provide additional GP appointments. If you need access to an evening or weekend non-urgent appointment, please call and speak to the receptionist during normal opening hours and they can help make an appointment at other practices in Dudley.

  • ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION SERVICE

We went live on the 20th October 2015 – for more information please see your local pharmacy to sign up. This means you order your medication with the practice and then just collect your medication from your assigned pharmacy.

  • NAMED ALLOCATED GP

All patients in the practice have a named allocated GP – if you wish to know your “named allocated GP” then please contact the reception. If you wish to change your “named allocated GP” you can change this and please contact the reception. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS DOCTOR ALL THE TIME, YOU ARE FREE TO SEE ANY DOCTOR AT THE PRACTICE AT ANY TIME.

  •  NEW DOCTORS

Dr Farrah Wakil (female) will be joining the practice as a partner to replace Dr Cox from Tuesday 15th August 2017 – she will be working all day Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Amparo Calderon (female) has joined the practice from January 2017. She is a Salaried GP and will be working all day Monday and Friday.

  • The average pay for GP’s working in Cross Street Surgery in the last financial year was £33182.00 before tax and national insurance. This is for one full time GP and three part time GP’s who worked in the practice for more than six months.
